Senior Research/Research Fellowships for International Applicants in Singapore, 2014

National University of Singapore is offering senior research/research fellowships for outstanding active researchers from around the world. Interested applicants must have a PhD from a reputable university and with publication record preferably in English Language. The Senior Research Fellowship comes with a competitive remuneration of at least S$6000 per month, from which they will pay for university subsidized housing. The Research Fellowship is on competitive remuneration from S$5000 per month with an additional S$500 per month housing allowance to make their own private housing arrangement. Application should be submitted till 1st July 2014.

Eligibility:
-Interested applicants must have a PhD from a reputable university and with publication record preferably in English Language.
-Only candidates with more than 5 years of research experience after their PhD may apply for the Senior Research Fellowship position.

Scholarship Description: All positions are intended for outstanding active researchers from around the world, to work on an important piece of Asia-related research in the social sciences and humanities.

Duration of award(s): The appointment will be tenable for a period of two years at the first instance, with the possibility of another term of two years based upon evaluation and funding availability (i.e. up to a total of four years).
What does it cover?
-The Senior Research Fellowship comes with a competitive remuneration of at least S$6000 per month, from which they will pay for university subsidized housing.

-All salary and benefit-in-kind are subjected to taxation in accordance with local tax laws.
-Travel assistance will be provided.

Notification: Only successful candidates will be notified (via email). Candidates who do not hear from the University within 10 weeks after the closing date of the advertisement may assume the position has been filled.

-Curriculum Vitae;
-Synopsis of the proposed research project (maximum of 8-10 single-lined pages);
-At least one short sample of published work, preferably in English;
-It is primarily your responsibility to ensure that a minimum of two letters of reference are sent to us in confidence via email.
