Allowance available for Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS) • DAAD

With its development-oriented postgraduate study programmes, the DAAD promotes the training of specialists from development and newly industrialised countries. Well-trained local experts, who are networked with international partners, play an important part in the sustainable development of their countries. They are the best guarantee for a better future with less poverty, more education and health for all. The scholarships offer foreign graduates from development and newly industrialised countries from all disciplines and with at least two years' professional experience the chance to take a postgraduate or Master's degree at a state or state-recognised German university, and in exceptional cases to take a doctoral degree, and to obtain a university qualification (Master's/PhD) in Germany.

Who can apply?
Graduates from all disciplines with at least two years' professional experience

What is supported?
Individual scholarships exclusively for Postgraduate courses in Germany that are listed on the "List of all Postgraduate courses with application deadlines" (seewww.daad.de/pgc)

Duration of funding
12 to 36 months (dependent on study programme)

Value

Depending on academic level, monthly payments of 750 euros for graduates or 1,000 euros for doctoral candidatesPayments towards health, accident and personal liability insurance coverTravel allowance, unless these expenses are covered by the home country or another source of funding

Selection

Candidates fulfil the necessary academic requirements and can be expected to successfully complete a study programme in Germany (above-average result for first academic exam – top performance third, language skills)Candidates have a Bachelor degree (usually a four-year course) in an appropriate subjectCandidates have at least two years' professional experienceCandidates can prove their motivation is development-related and be expected to take on social responsibility and initiate and support processes of change in their personal and professional environment after their training/scholarship

Sponsorship in Anaesthesiology available for a Tanzanian

CCBRT (www.ccbrt) is a locally registered non-governmental organisation that comprises among other activities a well-established Disability Hospital which includes ophthalmology, orthopaedics, reconstructive surgery and obstetric fistula. A new 200-bed Maternity and Newborn Hospital is under construction. Together the Disability Hospital and the Maternity and Newborn Hospital will form the Super Specialist Hospital for the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.

CCBRT is willing to sponsor for the academic year 2015 – 2016 two (2) Medical Doctors for a postgraduate degree in Anaesthesiology at MUHAS.

Candidate’s requirement:

Tanzanian citizenship,Holder of a Doctor of Medicine degree (MMed) with a minimum GPA of 2.7 at undergraduate level,The MMed has been achieved in the last four years (not before 2010),Have applied and be eligible for MMed programme in Anaesthesiology at MUHAS for the academic year 2015 - 2016Three names of referees, two of whom must be academicians/professionals.
Sponsorship extension for the following three academic years up to the graduation, depends on good academic results.

After post graduation degree the anaesthesiologists will be a potential hires for CCBRT.

 HSCM focuses on supply chain operations in general, while SCCD focuses on national supply chain systems strengthening (longer term improvements). The courses can be taken together or individually.
