Quebec Immigration High Demand Occupation List


On August 1, 2013, the Quebec Minister of Immigration and Cultural Communities implemented new areas of training list which enumerates a wider range of studies awarding points to applicants and a spouse or de facto spouse for diplomas acquired outside Quebec or obtained in Quebec or recognized as Quebec equivalent.
The new program seeks to select candidates with the highest probability of economic settlement success while accommodating Quebec’s French language policies.
The following is a partial area of training list that the Quebec Skilled Worker program currently targets:
  • Nursing (Bach – 3 years) 
  • Aircraft Construction Techniques (DCS - 3 years)
  • Nursing (DCS-3 years)
  • Retail Butchery (DVS – 1 year)
  • Machining Techniques (DVS – 2 years)
  • Aerospace, Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering (Bach – 4 years)
  • Civil Construction and Transportation Engineering (Bach – 4 years)
  • Computer Engineering & Construction of Computers(Bach – 4 years)
  • Insurance & Financial Advisory Services (DCS – 3 years)
  • Food Processing & Quality Technology (DCS – 3 years)
  • Mechanical Engineering Techniques (DCS – 3 years)
  • Civil Engineering Technology (DCS – 3 years)
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology (DCS – 3 years)
  • Radiation Oncology Technology (DCS – 3 years)
  • Diagnostic Radiology Technology (DCS – 3 years)
  • Computer Support (DVS – 2 years)
  • Stationary Machine Mechanics (DVS – 2 years)
  • Use of Composite Materials (DVS – 2 years)
  • Welding and Fitting (DVS – 2 years)
  • Pharmacy Technical Assistant (DVS – 1.5 years)
