MST is a member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) Global Partnership, which operates in over 46 countries worldwide. MST’s goal is to improve quality of life in Tanzania by dramatically improving access to and use of family planning and other reproductive health services. 
    
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our highly motivated team in the following role.

Hospital Manager – TPC LTD, Moshi

Job Purpose
TPC Hospital is located 20km outside Moshi within the estate of TPC. The Hospital provides general medical and obstetric services to its employees and dependents, as well as the outlying catchment area.  Marie Stopes Tanzania is in partnership with TPC and the hospital located on their estate. The Hospital Manager will report to the Director of Health Systems at MST as well as the CEO at TPC. He/She will be responsible for managing, developing and monitoring the hospital at TPC. He/She will facilitate the implementation of hospital strategies and program according to annual strategic plan and budget. He/she will oversee the provision of quality Health Services at the hospital. He/She will be responsible for submitting reports to management at MST, TPC and their board.

Key responsibilities
Business development
•Continuously develop the hospital in line with the values of MST/TPC Partnership and the goals of maximizing access of clients to affordable and high quality medical and family planning services
•Monitor monthly performance and provide DHS and CAEO with regular updates
•Regularly review QTA results, exit interviews and mystery client data to ensure ‘evidence into action’.
•Oversee day to day activities of hospital and facilitate inputs from other departments (Procurement, Logistics, Clinical Quality, HR)
•Work closely with Customer Care Advisor to ensure low rejection rate among corporate clients and high standards of customer care
•Oversee the rollout of new electronic health information system and new stock management system

Strategic planning
Coordinate the annual business planning process
Participate in development of strategic initiatives/plans
Monitor hospital performance trends and identify opportunities for strategic interventions
• Identify opportunities for partnerships that will ensure expansion of MST services provided from Clinics and contribute to the organization’s mission and goal


Team leadership and development
Ensure that all hospital staff are performance managed i.e. have annual KPIs set, performance review conducted on regular basis and feedback provide
• Provide day to day support, coaching and mentoring to senior staff
Identify Clinics Team member’s areas for development and facilitate development of personal development plan

Minimum Requirements
Minimum of a University Degree in Health Science, Social Science, or International Development Management; MBA as an advantage
Fluent English both oral and written.
Knowledge of Clinical Health, Community Outreach, Family Planning, Social Marketing and Commercial Health Services is an advantage
At least 5 years of experience in a management position, preferably in the health management, family planning, community development
At least 5 years of experience in managing multi-tiered management structures of medical professionals, health outreach teams, social marketing, M&E, and/or project development teams;
Proven track record of people management and leadership skills of not less than five years in a senior management position;
Minimum 3 years of experience of representing organisations in external forums.
