Health Supply Chain Management & Supply Chain Development Course , Oxford UK

Dear colleagues,

With just four weeks to go before our event in Oxford, UK, we encourage interested parties to book their places soon to avoid disappointment and take advantage of the extended ‘Early-Bird Rate’

Health Supply Chain Management (HSCM): 20th – 24th July 2015

What is it about? The success of a health programme is dependent on the ability to reliably and consistently supply essential products to support service delivery. The HSCM course is a comprehensive look at the end-to-end supply chain (forecasting, procurement, warehousing & inventory control, distribution and IT) and includes many cross-cutting themes. The structure is based on the six-plus-one rights of health supply chain (i.e. the right goods, the right quantity, the right cost, the right condition, the right place, the right time and the right interventions), aligned to the 12 recommended WHO interventions around rational use.

Who is it for? It is for Procurement Officers, Pharmacy Managers, Warehouse or Distribution Managers, Health Programme Managers, Information Systems Managers, Central Medical Stores Staff, Technical Assistance Providers, Donors supporting commodity programmes and other professionals in the supply chain.

What is it about? Increasingly, low- and middle-income country governments are requesting their partners to support them in strengthening their health supply chain systems to gain self-sufficiency and reduce their reliance on external expertise. In the SCCD course we explore systematic approaches to supply chain capacity-building, focusing on national health supply chain systems strengthening (longer term improvements) and the related theory of change.

Who is it for? It is for senior managers and other decision makers from MoH, health agencies and donors who work or invest in the public supply chain.
