Quantification of Health Commodities Deliver™ Course -Monday 26th of October – Friday 30th of October 2015 (5 days) (Potchefstroom, South Africa

Course Goal

The availability of drugs and other health commodities determine the success of any health program. Without a reliable supply of contraceptives, a family planning program cannot serve its customers; without appropriate drugs, a tuberculosis program cannot offer treatment. An effective AIDS treatment program requires an uninterrupted supply of antiretroviral drugs. To forecast, quantify, and procure any commodity requires the ability to effectively and efficiently allocate existing and future resources as well as manage the procurement process. Effective inventory management of health commodities determines to a greater extent the effective delivery of any health system. It has an impact on all functions of any health system including finance.
